The third OEM tube is the European JJ ECC83 (ECC83 is the British name for a 12AX7; JJ's are made in the Slovak Republic). They are constructed with short, fat plates and a halo getter, like the Shuguangs, but they have only two spacers and a metal disk above the plates that is connected to the getter. You may see these sold as Groove Tubes ECC83's but the label doesn't matter; they are still JJ ECC83's. As for the sound, they have a more linear tone than the Sovteks or the Shuguangs, and a more prominent midrange. Personally, I think they sound best with Marshall or Vox amps that run EL34 or EL84 power tubes.
The cheap guitar cables you find are normally made with alloy, tin and nickel, these are generally very poor at getting the guitar signal to the amplifier. They are prone to interference from other electrical items likes radios and poor electrical wires in the venue your are playing at. the is problem is made worse by the cheap insulation which lets the signals from these appliances into your leads and mess with your guitar signal.
You can spend all the money in the world on the best guitar and amp, but you won't get the best of your gear if you use a poor quality guitar lead. The same too if you use cheap patch cables. The low quality cables lead to signal loss and interference which makes for poor tone. I am going to tell you how by simply changing to better cables you can improve your tone.
The highest rated 6l6 tall bottle is probably the SED 6l6. SED aka "Winged C" is the company that was previously known as "Svetlana." The SED is a great tube with a brighter, more detailed tone, but it has a big downside, and that is that it typically costs about twice as much as all of these other tubes.
